Chrysalis Fabrication is a 15,000 sq. ft site based in Reading which specialises in fine limit sheet metalwork, welding, fabrication, powder coating and paint finishing for a wide variety of different industries including rail, banking and retail. For the rail industry, Chrysalis Fabrication has the expertise to manufacture and supply vehicle components such as panels, seats, grab rails/ handles and corrosion repair materials. The team can manufacture or repair most items found in the interior of rolling stock vehicles which allows for greater supply chain control during our projects.
Our powder coating and paint team use a large camel back oven which can accept 3 x 2m panels with ease. This continuous track oven is 15 metres long and capable of large volume production runs. We offer full pre-treatment, electrostatic powder coating, traditional wet spray painting and polishing at these facilities.
Chrysalis Fabrication also have CNC punching and profiling machines for fine limit sheet metal work, and several bays of Mig and Tig welders producing quality welds in steel, aluminium and stainless steel. Products can be stove enamelled to your specifications in a variety of gloss levels and finishes, so whatever your requirements we can find a solution which suits you.
